Lots of simple sentences create a very choppy, remedial reader feel to this seemingly well-intentioned lightweight mystery that is, nevertheless, painful to read. It reminds me stylistically of 1950's era reading primers with such classic lines as, "See Spot run. Look. Look. Look." There are far better-written freebies out there.Product details

I thought the characters were interesting. It is a British mystery and it has a different pace. I plan to read the next one.
